Hi guys,

I've uploaded a couple of vids to youtube of my smokey engine.

Since taking the vids, I have set the timing with a dti gauge to 1mm and it's spot on, but I'm having the same smoking problems regardless of what I do with the timing.

On the second vid you can see I have some smoke coming from the oil filler tube :( Is this blowby? does it mean my rings are cream crackered?

Any comments would be much appreciated.

Btw, thanks to JonT4 for all your help so far T:

all you need to post the you tube widget is the bit after the '=' (square bracket removed from the start of each link so you can see what I have done)

Looks like a typical worn out engine to me.

I would consider getting a compression check done to be sure.

It's definitely blow by IMO mate It doesn't look as bad as some engines I have seen though.
The smoke out of the exhaust looks like unburned diesel. Does it stink and burn the hairs out of your nose?
It's probably a combination of worn injectors and poor compression like Zmok says get it compression checked.
Does the smoke coming out of the oil filler have a similar smell to the exhaust?

I think it's actually water vapour coming out the filler neck.. It condenses on the filler cap.

Not sure about it burning my nose.. Will check! :D
