Hi all,

Here's an interesting one...(!)

My 1.9td LWB has been marking its spot since I got it. Having cleaned up the sump and had a look it seems the sump has been damaged and has been filled in the past and now is leaking, quite badly, especially after I put some engine flush through it at the last service 100 miles ago! (I have snapped some pics but cant work out how to post them here!)

Has anyone seen anything like this before? I was horrified when I cleaned up the sump  -I think I am going to have to replace the sump.

...Anyone got one they care to sell?

Ta for the replies

Yeh I have had a look at it seems like some of the retaining bolts are pretty inaccessible, dont suppose you have a quick description/some advice on how best go about it!!

Looks like you have remove the pully assembly on one side (drivers) of the sump and a plate off the engine block on the others (passengers)

Should be a "fun" evenings work.
