were there 2 different colours of red t4s? mine is a 2001 and a bit faded looks olot darker than sum t4s. alot are a nice bright red! think mines is in need of a respray!

True, but how long it lasts depends on the paint. Had my Toyota done a few months ago, to match after a repair to the rear door. By the time I got home, it had already stated to oxidise again

Clear lacquer after a mop is brilliant and lasts for years. Costs a bit more than a polish, but a lot less than a respray T:
