Guys I have a V reg caravelle 2.5 TDI , does it have an OBD port anywhere or some form of diagnostics , I can't find one anywhere but might be looking in the wrong place,

Look at the plastic shroud that surrounds the lower parts of the steering column, its closest to the drivers seat squab.
