can anyone help?? got an 03 t4 which has today developed a problem with the drivers side door central locking. you press button to open on remote which it does for a nano second and then locks all doors again. The knob inside door is very loose to lift, no friction at all. if you use key to open doors all open fine. is this a simple fix

I have exactly the same problem. I have changed the central locking motor and the actual catch in the door as I had read that sometimes this can jam. Unfortunately nothing has solved the problem.

Theres a spring on the door lock mechanism that would give the symptoms of floppy knobI:/no friction/self locking if it had gone. Its tiny, but requires the full mechanism to be changed. You can pick them up second hand easy enough, then its door card off, three screws on the door edge, a bit of swearing and jobs a good `un.

I had same problem, I took the fuse out and used the Key instead!

Its not the lock, its the door mechanism.

You`ll have to change the lock in the new mechanism so you don`t need 2 keys.
