Hi there,
This is my first time posting but have been using the forum for about a year. When replacing worn camshaft on my 2007 Multivan 2.5 auto BPC, I dropped a bolt which managed to land down the gap in the housing between the engine block and transmission. Just below the coolant pump cover. Think this is where the torque converter is?
I can’t feel or see it, so I’m assuming it’s stuck the bottom of this housing. As there’s an open gap at the top it can’t be fully sealed. Looking at the area around the sump pan/gear box it looks like if I remove the sump I might be able to squeeze a finger or tool into the housing? I can still turn the engine over without any jams.
Any advice would be great, I don’t want to drive it until I know what the risk is!
Patrick.
