So, removal of the EGR Valve on a 2.5TDI (low BHP blue I).
I have the blanking plates for either end of the large silver pipe from exhaust to manifold but is there any advice as to what else can be removed with regard to all the vacuum gubbins?
Plus, what really are the pros and cons?
Cheers

The cons are that now removing an egr valve is an MOT failure.
Our van came without one so I had to buy a used one and refit it to pass the mot.
Ours is still blocked with a hidden plate and unplugged but it appears to be plugged in and working. A sneaky fix 馃か

Clean the EGR & inlet manifold (Soak in petrol overnight) will also improve things. I did a manifold where the airflow at the engine end was restricted to about a pencil width. It's horribly messy so get lots of blue roll at the ready with a pair of old marrigolds. You'll notice the difference immediately.
