Hello Everyone. Tramore is a hamlet in the Bonnecherre River valley in Ontario, Canada - about 2 hrs east of Algonquin Park adjacent to Killaloe Ont.

I'm am looking at purchasing a 1995 Westfalia Eurovan camper. It comes with the 5 cyl 2.5l gas engine with 200K kms on it (WV2PE0709SH035423). I have a 2010 TDI with the 2.0 TDI engine. A 'dieselgate', so called, engine. A few months ago, the engine seized and under the dieselgate warranty, Volkswagen spent $21K(CAD) plus to install a brand new engine and turbo into the Jetta at no expense to me.
The CJA engine and DSG transmission have the following specs:

Hi from the Rep of Ireland, I can't help you with the conversion but
as you probably know, nothing is impossible, but how deep are your pockets and what is your skill level.
A specialist custom fab shop will help you but I'd imagine impossible to put a price on it.
Unless you want something really unique it's better going down the tried and tested route.

I'm not doing the work myself. There are two places from which I can choose. T4 vans are far and few between here in Canada. I like to know what I'm talking about before going to 'specialists'.

I have the well running donor car. The 2.5l gas engines are installed in 2010 Jettas over here. So it follows that the 2.0l engine that fits into the 2010 Jetta should fit into the T4.

As best I can reckon, the front drive axles might be problematic. What else is there to consider?

hi did you sat dual clutch as in dsg
ive put a 2.0 16v tdi pd engine in with a 6 speed dsg auto its a tone of work and head scratching but it runs geat and has golf gearing so if it could at 5000 rpm in 5th it would do about 118mph then change into 6th
so mpg is about 50 on a run and its the best thing ive ever done to date
140bhp + remap + big alloy intercooler a couple of other mods must be running 190bhp ish
the drive shaft on the near. side (uk) is the biggest problem there is not much room down there to get things in
but saying that if you got big balls and dont mind a load of head scratching i would say go for it
it would be nice to see another t4 with dsg
all i got was a load of people saying yeah dsg like to see that well for you you lot its done and driving well
