Lately I started hearing squeaking noises coming from my high roof (factory install)
When examining how the fibreglass roof is attached to the metal body work I found the 4 visible speednut bolts loose!
After tightening the noises are gone. A:

There are 4 more blanks for those nuts (why are they left open?) so I am going to order part numbers 7H0817940A and N 90948902 to reinforce the roof.
So if you have a high roof you might check them out, I am thinking especially when you use the van on bad road / offroad where the roof will be subject to rattling or even twist.

Loctite is always a good idea.
I was also confused why not all bolts where used, but I asked my VW tech guy and he said was standard. Its actually the bond that holds the roof and the bolts were just extra safety.

I also noticed, there was extra mounting holes on my Mid roof as well, although i don't see it moving with all the sealant
