Hi there I have a 2000 2.5tdi and the temp gauge works intermittently and now today the fuel gauge doesn't go down :* it went up when I put diesel in but it will not go down
Any ideas? Sorry if this is basic but its all new to me I:

wish my fuel gague would stay up:(:(:(come to think of it I wish something else would stay up;)I: seriosly though if you do a search you will probably find the thread on this its probably a dry or cracked solder joint on the back of the clocks.T:

I have had a good look on the search and i have found that solder fix you mention but does that apply to my van as the bits i have looked at say its for vans up until 1996? :* or am i just being a numpty T:

Yep mine does the same along with 100's of others ! its a common fault

Type in faulty fuel and temp gauge in the search bar and you should get your answer quickly T:
