Just bought my r n r bed and could do with a few suggestions on recommended size / type of bolts to use to fix?

Also does anyone know what size bolts are used (same size as the mushroom bolts) that secure the seats to floor in Caravelle?

VW used standard M10 threads in the floor anchor points, any bigger than this is overkill (for an r&r, you will be fine with M8 even).
Try and use high tensile steel nuts and bolts.
The bigger and thicker the spreader plate the better (but use common sense, a 1foot square 1/4" thick steel plate will be very safe but very heavy)
