Hi I have just fitted a 15" flip-down dvd player into my T5. I have used the supply from the leisure battery and I notice that the maximum current drawn (when playing a DVD) is 1.1A. When it is switched off it draws 100mA (0.1A) in standby.
My question is - Should I fit a separate switch to completely disconnect or is 100mA an acceptable permanent drain on the leisure battery.
I imagine that an alarm system must draw this amount, or more, on the main battery.
Any thoughts or comments would be welcome. Thanks, Alan

Over 24 hrs that 2.4ah and if you've a 110ah battery thats 2.2%. My take is that to leave it on standby isnt life tbreatening but simply good practise to turn off anything you arn't using.

Thanks for the reply. That is what I was thinking - if the DVD stays in standby it remembers any settings for picture brightness, volume etc. but it is not a big issue to adjust these each time.
When it is first switched on it is set at average, mid-way values - so maybe I will fit an additional on/off switch.
I was just interested to know what anyone else had done.
