I guess aimed at UPSPEX but for the benefit of others...

I have a leisure battery under the drivers seat. This will feed the switch/fuse panel on the side of the wardrobe at the rear. I'd like to be able to turn off the fridge from the switch/fuse panel. I know the best way of feeding the fridge is probably via a 6mm2 cable to prevent too much volts being dropped and the fridge cutting out at 10.7v

Is this something that is worthwhile?? I have little/no experience of 'practical' campervaning, If so, I'll put a 12v 30A relay in.

I guess the question is, is it worthwhile controlling everything from 1 switch/fuse panel?

What have others done? Is it overkill?

What sort of fridge? I'm guessing Compressor, but why do you want to turn it off separately? you can turn it off at the fridge?

Personally I turn the fridge on as I set off from home and then off again when I get home. So for me there would be no point, but each to their own.

If you are wanting to turn it off you could just put an inline switch in the supply cable, but agin this depends on the type of fridge and it's current draw.
