Hi All - I'm looking for some advice please.
I've just had the tyres on my Galaxy replaced, and didn't like the way they treated my alloy's - so with the front brakes squealing on the T4, I think I'd rather do it myself and preserve my wheels.
The thing is, it's been a few years since I've changed any brake components - I think the last work I did on brakes was on a 1972 Ford Escort !!
We have a 1999 1.9TD, so I don't think I have ABS to contend with, but I'm presuming that as the setup is pretty basic not a lot will have changed between the '72 Ford and '99 VW. Is this correct ??
Also, having browsed a few posts, I see mention of a wind back tool. I can guess what this does, but is it only necessary for the rear brakes ??
Any other advice anyone wants to give me ??
Thanks
Frank
