Hi, newbie on the forum, I hope someone can help or at least point me in the right direction.

I'm in the process of replacing the front dampers on my T4, the passenger side came apart easily (after plusgas and a wire brush) and all done. The driver's side has not and I've snapped the stud that secures the rear of the mounting plate.
Can this stud be hammered out after dropping the subframe and does anyone have a link to a part number for a replacement? It looks like it has a thin head to allow it to fit between the subframe and chassis rail. Thanks.

To partly answer my own question, the bolt does come out, though I had to use an air chisel to do it. I've not found a source for the bolt yet, it's not avaiable from VW as a separate item. It appears to have a very thin head and a splined shank to prevent it spinning when tightened.
