After cutting down my bumpstop tubes I decided to see what was happening under my van when the rear trailing arm was on the bumpstop. So I jacked it up and found that it was trapping the handbrake cables on part of the body which has a rusty edge, it's already cut into my outer cables. Given enough time this could go through your handbrake cables.

A little work with an angle grinder should sort it thoughT:

Post 99 T4s' are already notched here but pre 99 ones are not.I have cut, lifted and rewelded this rear section on my own T4 for even extra clearance and now the rear arm is able to touch the chassis rail without the parkbrake cable being pinched, also have stortened bumpstop tubes.
If your not going very low then you can get away with leaving this on post 99 models but its recommended to notch all pre 99 models when lowering
