[Spud the gun]

Removed the heater knob fascia undone the 4 screws , pulled out the unit ,rotated the hot cold knob and presto no movement of the cable just a click as thou something inside is broken off or worn?
is this an easy fix by taking the whole unit out to strip the insides or does anybody have one for sale? now that would be easy!!

2002 2.5 tdi .

Just lift the bonnet and move the cable by hand inside engine bay to turn the heat off. It happens to all T4s I think mine is broke but the cable has been moved into the glove box with a washer on the end and I pull for hot and push for cold. I have seen them on ebay and I think golf ones can be made to fit.

Mine has the hot /cold on the left not central!

dont really want to botch it, i want to either fix it or buy and second hand one!
