went out tonight to get a curry, very nice indeed.

However on the way back i noticed my dashlights aren't working, they were on the way there.
the clock lights dont work, nor the heater ones or the ones on the headlight switch.

So what should I be checking??? Obviously the fuse first but if thats ok what is the next step?

Tried that all the way up n down, shall pop the headlight switch out in the morning.

Looking at this;

1, low beam left
2, " " right
3, number plate light
4, rear wiper/washer
5, windscreen wipers/washer
6, blower
7, tail & side lights right
8, " " " left
9, empty
10, fog lights
11, high beam left,
12, " " right
13, horn
14, reversing light
15, carburettor or engine-electronic
16, warning lamps
17, turn signals
18, fuel pump
19, radiator fan/air conditioner
20, brake lights
21, int & luggage compartment lights, clock, radio
22, cig lighter

radio works fine!!

Can only guess without looking at it but if your illumination potentiometer is fubared i have a switch at work you can try and its green illumination not red.

so Steve if i disconnect it and use a bit of wire to make the circuit and switch the lights on to see if the lights on the dash come on, would it be safe to do that? not risking knackering something else??

Dont go sticking bits of wire in mate it needs probing with the right equipment to find the fault and where the live feed has been lost.

Doh!!!

Forgot that the dimmer switch is is part of the headlight switch!!

might have to swing by your place so ya can ave a look see, maybe next Saturday morning if ok?? Will tie it in with picking a few bits up from Kels if he open on a Saturday.
