Hi,

Yesterday we took our T5 to Mothercare to try and get a Group 1 seat for our son.

The seat is to go on the RIB seat in the rear.

We tried about 5 different seats (Maxi Cosi & Britax), none of which were an acceptable fit.
:EEK!:

Just wondering what seat those of you with small children are using on your RIB seat (our son is one)?

We had a silver cross seat when he was a new born & he's now rolling in a recaro T:

All of which fitted well in the T5

Is your recaro fitted on a RIB seat? I think John Lewis might stock recaro - will go and see if they can fit one.

None of the Maxi Cosi or Britax seats that Mothercare tried to fit were deemed as 'acceptable' because of the seatbelt strap was too low for one seat and and on others the buckle was rubbing against the seat frame.

The seats that didn't fit on the RIB seat were okay on the front seat but we are keen to put him in the back.

Assuming Junior will be rear facing then we took our vehicle to an independant stockest who let us play with a number of seats next to their back door
John lewis told us that the seat belts in our Ford Focus were too short to have a rear facing Maxi Cosi in
Go Independant and play with the seats for a while

Ours now 2 1/2 and a real backseat driver

There aren't many independent shops near me (Aberdeen). Have found out that seemingly the Mamas & Papas car seat fit well on the RIB seats so will give them a go! He's got a little while left before he outgrows his baby carrier so will hopefully find something soon - what a minefield!
