AAC would be the engine code.

As you seem to be proposing the poke and hope route then rather than starting with relays, I'd go for the service/cheaper items first and change the plugs then pipes. seems some of the small air pipes have a reputation for blocking with dirt as well as the rubber aging and cracking so no longer effective for any vacuum. also check that the pipes between air filter and inlet manifold are all properly connected and not leaking.

I'd add checking the ISV Idle Stabalisation Valve to your list.

What happens if its in neutral and you pick up the revs then remove your foot from the pedal, with a warm engine it ought to drop to about 1000-1200 revs hesitate and then settle slowly to tickover.
