Is there marks on the cogs ect to set it up ?
Allso how do you adjust it when it's wrong and which way do you turn it ?

Re: Help with deisel injector pump timing please !!!

right lee, from memory..... (I assume its just the pump you're doing??)

loosen the bolt on the top pump pulley (top right as you look into the engine bay). this should be on a tapered shaft and you should be able to turn without the cam moving.

set flywheel to TDC buy removing the rubber bung on top the gearbox and turn untill the line on the flywheel tally's with the line on the bell housing. that should put your cam and everything into TDC.

on the pump there will be hole where you slide the pump setting tool through (tool should be about 1/2" from memory) slide the tool through (locking the pump) then put your belt on the pump and top pulley.

tighten the top pulley and remove the pump setting tool and your done.

there :D

that should be it mate, just keep checking that it's TDC on the flywheel cos if that's not dot on it could throw it out either way.

if everything's locked in place, it's timed up, simple T:

(now you watch someone come on and tell ya different :D)
