MY 2 ltr petrol aac was running like a new van for 10 minutes then i turned it off then started it again and it runs like [email protected] again!

would this be a symptom of BAD ECU and why?

How do you know when your ecu needs fixing?

check on search for 2ltr petrol, there is a load on there about this problem esp with AAC engine, idling poorly etc

most change temp sender to start with £15 from dealer and 10mins to change

it is s hard one to identify source of problem

Gills is a bit of a guru, he has some excellent threads exploring AAC idle issues

good luck

Have to disagree with steveflying response, we have different engine but had loads of intermittent problems before finally being diagnosed with water getting onto contacts of ecu

Well that's not a problem with the ECU is it ! water ingress to any connections can cause problems and should be the first things to check when electrical problems are experienced.
