Does anyone know how to remove the stainless steel covers on the Kombi rear seat brackets?

I don’t want to remove the actual bracket, just the cover so I can take out the rubber floor mat for a good clean etc.

I tried popping them off with a screw driver but it looks like they’re riveted on to the main bracket?? Is more force required (I didn’t want to force it and do any damage), or is this a more involved job than I had hoped?

Remove the seat, they have a torx 20 screw holding in one side then slide slightly towards the screw side to remove, hope the picture help.

Amazing thanks! I hadn’t realised that underneath all the dirt was some torx screws.

Got a few of them out but most are pretty rusted and worn - I feel like getting the rest out could be ‘fun’.
