Evening all.

I have just started stripping out the interior of my ex-AA T4, and the first job was to take out the door cards for the rear barn doors. The handle on the outside shows evidence of being messed around with in the past (touch up paint, and slightly deformed). so I took the handle off to see how to repair it best.

I was rather alarmed to see how easy it would be to unlock a barn door from outside using something like a screwdriver or similar.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how it can be improved? I was wondering about fitting central locking, and possibly a remote release, and modifying the mechanism to make it much more difficult to pop the lock open from outside. I also wondered about de-locking and de-handling the door completely, although I don't know if aftermarket "handles" are available at all.

Anyone got any cunning ideas?
