I am about to install a leisure battery under my double passenger seat. I will be using it to run my interior leds and flip down tv.
My questions are :-
1 - Whats the best way of securing it, i thought i might be able to utilise the seat bolts some how.
2 - Do i need to use an earth strap on the leisure battery?
3 - Would an inline fuse be ok for the appliances running of it? If so what amp fuses?

Oh! and if you have any pics that would be a great help T:

Doesn't feel right giving a jedi advice but here goes:

1. Yes good idea.
2. Yes and No -- you don't have to - just run the negative leads to each appliance.
3. That would be correct, the fuse would be whatever the appliance says its ampage is, eg, Tv is going to be about 3-5 amps so that's what it takes as a fuse.

If you decide to recharge the battery via your starter battery then you might want to consider a common negative (using an earth strap) but its not a must as you can always run a negative lead. But it would save you the cost of having to run a negative lead back to the battery.

Fitted mine under the driver seat
Fits so snug its not going anywhere
Earthed it to the seat anchor bolt
I opted for the 12v fuse box then you can fuse each appliance to its rating

How you going the charge said battery?
my biuld thread has some info/pics let me know if you want any more info

My plans were to fully charge the battery before my weekend trips, then just use a solar panel while away to keep it topped up

Quick question, what size are the bolts under the seat? I need to know what size terminals to buy.
Cheers T:

I've got a T5. I've got a feeling it's bigger than that on mine? It's been a while since I took the seat out so could well be wrong though!
