Hi all!
I have a 2.5 TDI 102ps from '97 with no fuel warning sensor.
Had it for 6 years without sensor and wanted to install it now.

Did anybody do it? Difficult/expensive?

You mean the light does not come on?

No, I think I do not have the sensor!
I have a pre-99 tacho (that with warnings at the bottom) but mine has not warning symbols for fuel.
Then I guess it really misses the sensor!
Please correct me if I'm wrong!

Good question to which I can't answer I just thought that the ones after the face lift with the digital display had a low fuel warning.

I am guessing an easy way to check is the number of wires on the connector on the sender unit in the tank. The out basic like mine only has 2 wires I would expect three if there is a waring light.

according to your note, I should check the number of wires.
Do I also need to add a sensor in the diesel tank?

I post two pics of the same tacho with and without warning light (mine is without).

By the way, I'm planning to upgrade my tacho with a post '99 (non can-bus), and that should have a warning light
