Hi all,
The interior lights of my 2005 vw t5 transporter are not working (bought the van like that). There is no voltage across the pins in the connectors connecting the lights in the ceiling, this for all lights.
In my trouble shooting I first checked all the fuses: the fusecard mentions fuses for the interior lights at fuse #7 and #29. At #7, there is no fuse installed and no connectors for a fuse. Fuse #29 is fine.
At first I tought the connectors of #7 were pushed trough the fuse box, dismanteled the dash board to find there never were any fuse pins.
Fuse #29 is described as "Load area door signal relay". Does this mean the interior lights are controlled by a relay or is it controlled by the bmc as suggested in other forum posts?
I also checed the connections under the drivers and passengers seat, they seemed to be fine. The connections in the light fixtures are also fine.
I think that there's a faulty connection between between the fuse box and the connectors to the light fixtures. What should my next trouble shooting steps be? If the lights are controlled by a relay, can it be broken?
Thanks in advance
