Hi,

1.9td - I've got some issues with starting with symptoms:

Dead, no solenoid click - whack starter with hammer and off she goes - but i've bench tested starter and solenoid and it's fine.

Ignition switch is fairly new so should be fine.

I've a big battery drain but it doesn't show with the multimeter and pulling fuses......Can't find a short, no evidence of one and by leisure doesn't drain. (happens with leisure connected or not so not an leisure battery relay fault)

I was thinking maybe starter gets stuck and keeps drawing juice sometimes?

Battery is in good nick and large.

I'm stumped! Help!

Sounds like your starter solenoid is sticking. I suspect a fault with the solenoid could bit draining your battery. Disconnect the starter overnight see if this stops the battery drain. Clean all the starter terminals. Remove starter and get an auto electrician to check it/repair/recondition etc. Good luck
