vag com wont communicate with van (t4 2.5tdi 02 888 special)
checked voltage at obd socket
pin 16 = 12v
pin 4 = earth
pin 5 = earth
pin 7 = 12v?

traced wire back to ecu still 12v no connection to radio harness,
ecu still giving 12v with wire disconnected?

does this mean my ecu is knackered?

anyone got any ideas?

thanks

Google Ross-tech Radio problem

So what have you done to determine the k line is not shorted at the radio?

It will not be a wiring fault it will be the radio itself. Unplug the radio and try.

wiring has been cut and insulated, at both ecu and radio ,
ie no connection to kline wire at all ,
the ecu pin that should feed kline is still giving 12volts plus?

so i got a replacement ecu
that had classic immobiliser problems, so i refitted my old one and now its all fine
connects to vcds/vagcom so i'm happy but confused?

self fixing ecu? was it because it was disconnected for 2 day or something?
