I've just lowered my van 40m and added a set of 17' alloys. And I'm now getting a constant knocking noise from the front. It only started when I replaced my steels with my alloys. Anyone have any ideas what this might be and how to fix it?

Thanks

Could have changed the angle that the balljoints sit at and showing up some wear in them?

Have you changed the shocks aswel when you lowered it? If so it's possible the lower mounting bolt isn't tightened enough, or the bushes at the top aren't in the right order?

Or, as was the case with mine, the metal bush in the lower shock mount was too soft and kept squashing up! I'd tighten the bolt and the knocking would dissapear for 1/4 mile then come back.
Could be anti roll bar drop links or bushes aswel.

check the torqe settings for the lower shock mount. they are super tight. once i did mine up to the correct setting the noise went never to return.
