Hi Guys,
I've been totally hooked on the forum since the purchase of my T5 T:..
So much so I forgot to pop back & join team blue, so thought I'd throw up a picture...

I'm really loving the forum, but it's costing me a small fortune everytime I pop in!
I've done a few tweaks such as the remap, side bars & roof bars along with a few interior goodies,
Hot on the hitlist are some nice alloys & do something with those commercial bumpers A: ..
Sadly some overtime needed first :D ..

Cheers Darren

Cheers, yes looks like first job is a full respray in white :D..

Ive long list of jobs I want to get done, but funds are the major anchor at the minute!
I'm frantically hunting for a set of caravelle/sportline bumpers to get her colour coded, droped 40mm last weekend on eibachs, ready for when I find some alloys? I've decided on the sportline alloys, but on the other hand I've seen lots of nice alloys 20/22's, but I think 18's are my limit on tyre prices  ...

Also just wondering about fitting rear window in tailgate, then seriosly thinking of maybe a conversion of some kind maybe next year?

trouble is everytime I log into the forum I find something else I fancy I:

Welcome to the most friendly colour ! I::D

Looks like a nice clean van ready for all that hard earned over time to be spoiled ! T:

They are stupidly moreish , mates keep asking me ' it's got to be finished ?' , errr no , there's this and that !I:I:

Neighbours think I'm nuts , but all comment on what nice vans the VW's are ! ............ Especially the T5's ! Rasp:

Happy spending . A:

Thanks T5RHW, trouble is my hard earned overtime is well and truly getting drained since my T5 path begun

It doesn't help when I look through your albums to see exactly just 'How' mine should look!!!
I've been stuck on either sportline or RR alloys & seeing the RR's on another blue I'm liking them!

Along with the Caravelle front end.. Audi R8 drl's... Led reflectors... Carbon roof rails / front grill etc etc etc A: ...

Please for my own sanity those types of photo albums should be made private so as not to feed the addiction :bhd

Oh yes & all I get off the Neighbours is 'Are you washing the van again?? You'll be wearing it away' :D

Haha , know that feeling ! Keep looking at other small touches people have done and get carried away ! I:I:
Note to self : stop looking at pics on here !!!!!

Re trimming my doors next , oh and changing speakers , and finishing off enclosure under seats , and more sound proofing in doors !

And I've just been down to my local tyre and exhaust specialist who's got my van in swb with stainless exhaust so that's next as well !
Not for a while anyway , or the wife may change the locks ! I:I:

I've been collecting a few bits & bobs over the last few months, Bumper Dec 12, Alloys Jan, Caravelle Lights Feb, Changed mind on lights so sold lights, Bought some Angel eyes, etc etc...
So after a few hours hard work on Friday / Saturday this is the new look T:

I was hoping to Polish up today, but constant rain :(, but still managed a quick wash & photo

No Pictures of my rear, as this is still unchanged, but as soon as the front bumper. headlights & bike rack are sold I'll be fitting rear spoiler & colour coding to smarten up my rear! :D

Cheers, only a drop in the ocean compared with your exhaustive build T:
I've still a long wishlist, but hopefully eventually that might be reduced, I'll probably be skint, single & homeless but the van might be somewhere how I want it :D

Slow progress, but a quick update,

Van is currently looking as follows: -

But I've managed to find a front sportline spoiler, it just required a touch of plastic welding which I've done myself ;) ...
I'll let the paintshop do there magic now!

I'm just waiting for the paintshop to finish there back log / Holiday this month, so August will see Front spoiler, rear spoiler & rear bumper colour coded I: ....

So Roll on August :D

Desperatly trying to find some 18" Sportlines to finish the look if any one has any??
I like the look of the 20's, but the wife seems to find curbs with these far too easy :( ....

Yes seen the new wheel/tyre packages, but I was trying to avoid spending £1k+ on a set of wheels, but that may be the only way!
I travelled your way over to Louth yesterday, I've worked a bit in Lincoln, a nice run yesterday in the hot sunshine!

It's looking good daz, so it was a genuine front spoiler then?
Cheers Matt, I'm not 100% sure? There are no markings at all? I would have thought it should of had the VW part numbers stamped as you said, but it does look a good fit & not sure if anyone actually made a copy in ABS? but I could be wrong

Biggest problem was that it was supposed to be repaired, but when it landed it had 3 cracks! the old ones had re-cracked & a fresh crack, but as it only came via TNT in bubble wrap I'm not surprised it was damaged :(

Here's fresh crack done during transit (On bottom edge - out of sight when fitted to van): -

So I had a go at welding the crack, quite pleased with the result: -

Next problem as you mentioned was the clips that hold on the bumper around the arch! There was one of the 'z' brackets missing from the front, which I can soon make, but I can't source the 4 clips from around the arch?
Until one of the lads at work had some clips off something? there not quite right, but I'm sure I can reshape slightly and weld M4 nut on!

Shown is the rusty original clip (had to cut off), and new clip that I've bent to suit, needs touch more work, but should do the trick!

If any one out there has any of the clips I'd be interested in 4 T:

I'm just waiting for the rear spoiler to turn up! After 2 weeks, they say it will be another 2 weeks :(
So hopefully by mid August I should be ready for the Body shop & full colour coding!

Seems along time since June :( ...

Brackets made ready for fitment of the front spoiler

Called today agian at the body shop to see if I could chase them along, so now at last I've a date for getting into the paint shop! Only 2 weeks to wait I: but both spoilers were looking excellent in primer :D so roll on November....

Dropped Van off at Body shop Yesterday Morning at 8am T: ...
So looking forward to picking up at the end of the week ;) .....

Just having dent on tailgate sorted at the same time, had a call this morning to say that the rear handle was corroded, so a quick trip down to pick it up today, Van looks like its having full respray  .. Hopefully just spoilers done though I: ...

Handle this morning: -

10 Mins later: -

Just needs a powder coat in the morning, ready for fitting back on later in the week T:

Not the best weather but couldn't resist a photo or two today as fresh out the body shop T:

Sportline front spoiler painted & fitted.

Sportline rear spoiler & Colour coding finally finished

Next job I fancy a change in the alloys & twin exit stainless steel exhaust I:
