Hi.

I bought some LED lights from e-bay and thought I would stick them on under the headlights and wire them in.

Where do you wire them in to?

I,m thinking of getting some of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LED-DAYTIME-RUNNING-DRL-LIGHTS-VW-TRANSPORTER-T4-T5-/250851748800?_trksid=p5197.m185&_trkparms=algo%3DSIC.NPJS%26itu%3DI%252BUA%26otn%3D12%26pmod%3D150677383722%252B270892187489%252B300648739816%26po%3DLWI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D5716798710611576021#ht_1916wt_929 I take it you have something similar? Were they an easy fit and do they look tidy ie not just stuck on? It says in the listing connect to a 12v ignition supply or sidelight supply. So you need to find an ignition supply preferably under the bonnet, hopefully someone will find a wire for you soon. If not I will be looking in about two weeks, starting at the fuse box in front of the battery.

The back of the light switch is a good source for an ignition live, its the black/yellow wire.

The safest way to wire it up would be using a relay and the ignition live wire to trigger it, power the relay from the battery with an inline fuse.

Having said that most led's are very low current so you could probably get away with wiring them direct to the back of the switch, with a fuse of course, as long as you don't use the high power led's that you can get. The stick on strip type are likely to be very low current.

There is a grommet in the corner of either end of the area under the windscreen wipers, remove the wipers and the plastic panel just pulls off to give you access to them. Both come through into the cockpit and are easy to get to to pull your cable through.
