hi

on a bit of a budget and been offered a car battery its 43amps would this be enough to run just interior lights and stereo? how long would it last for approx?

also would it be ok to run a split charge system - being as the regular battery is a bit beefier?

Depends entirely on the sort of lights and stereo youre running, Led light would run for about a week whereas normal halogen bulbs would flatten it overnight.

upgraded head unit running 2 x 10cm 110w speakers and 2 x 6x9s off head unit and led lighting

I would think you would safely get a night with lights and music as long as you dont have the volume right up, the Leds use virtually nothing, A lot depends on whether the battery is in good condition and if it has had a good charge, split charge should be no problem to rig up, voltage sensing relays are the easiest to wire just make sure you use a heavy gauge charging cable or youll drop a lot of volts off in the line.
