Just had a T5 converted to a camper in Essex. 85 ah Leisure Battery connected to run a Fridge, TV/DVD, Spotlights x6, Waterpump. Is this going to work and how long will it last. Cant use EHU as all items are wired to the battery. Any advice would be Great, Cheers K.

What you need to do is find out the wattage for each 12v item you plan to run in the van. Once you have that you take the watts for that individual item and divide it by the 12v (40w item divided by 12v = 3.3 amps) to give you the amps per hour. Then work out how many hours a day you plan to use each item and at the end of that you'll have the total amps required for the day. If its over the 85ah battery its not big enough. Also bear in mind that you wont get the full 85ah out of your battery either. I take it you have a split relay charger as well for the battery, which are ok. But might be worth concidering one of THESE as I've heard they are a lot more efficent at charging the battery back up. Hope this info is of help. Tomo
