Had the heater turned on hot the first time ever for me yesterday, on a 100 mile run. It seemed very efficient and the temp gauge was stable never thought anything of it gets home reaches in the glove box for my yard keys ... WOW! hot or what the top of the glovebox and inside were very hot the keys were not exactly burning but uncomfortable to hold tightly
If this normal ? i had the fan on 1 and the front vents shut. is it a setting problem or is there a pipe off some place under the dash any advice, i am a bit concerned about the heater wiring it was that hot around the dash area any thoughts please.

on cold mornings we used to leave our work gloves in the glove box (a revolutionary idea I'm sure you'll agree) and they'd be toasty warm by the time we got to site.

we also had one van in the fleet where the heating either full bore or nothing. I once had to take off my steel toecapped boots because they got soo hot they were burning my feet.
