Hi am I right in thinking that the MAP sensor on a AHY engine is built in to the Ecu. There is a vacuumed pipe running to the Ecu next to the sensor cheers ric.

It depends from the year. AHY had both, newer ones have ecu with 2 plugs and can. Older have map inside ecu

It's a 99 S reg so problly in the ECU , dose any one know if you can fix or replace the senior or do you have to replace the ECU .

Don't you just love auto correction sometimes?!?!?!

As to your question....I would assume some companies would be able to do it, but not certain it's a DIY job unless you have good soldering skills.
Taking the ECU apart is a daunting task, as not getting it back together and sealed again means it will last maybe 3 months!

You must be right on the edge, as both my 2000 vans have had the newer ECU.
