I started with the 140amp VSR kit from simplysplicharge on ebay. This kit was brilliant! It had all the bits I needed (just!)

I'd been looking at some previous posts on the forum and decided to mount the VSR next to the main battery in the engine bay.

I already had a 70amp split charge relay from the previous owner but that wasn't big enough for the new battery. The kit also came with the bigger girth cable. I bought a proper bell end crimper off ebay too for the beefy crimps. I got the cable though the grommet int he bulkhead and down under the mat under the passenger seat to the first kill switch. The cable then goes under the mat to the drivers seat to the leisure batter and the 12v circuits.

I used the space under the passenger seat for the 600w inverter and 240v auto sensing relay / contactor. This was a handy piece of kit as it switches from the battery supply to the 240v supply in the back from the site supply. All of this kit was bought from Travelvolts

The lights were on special offer from marlins for ÂŁ15 for the set of 4. They were wired for 240v but you just cut off the transformer and hey presto. Some of the sites on ebay were wanting a fortune for these just for saying there were camper lights. I also has some old IKEA strip LED's that were the same that i stuck up over the sink area which work a treat.

Right, my turn to give this a shot. I've been loving looking at the rest of the builds on here so I thought I'd try and document a little of mine for posterity.

I'm Matt by the way and I've been after a T4 for many many many years. I foolishly bought a Renault Kangoo trekka once which was a very bad idea (Beer & eBay do not mix at all). Anyway, my best mate found this little peach on eBay when I was in Norway for crimbo. Simon (top lad) from scarborough was selling and when I eventually got back home i went straight down to Scarborough and basically it was love at first sight.

I'll try and document all the little bits I do along the way. My aim this year is to take Syd up to Norway to my Girlfriends parent in Beiarn and then back again the scenic way. This site is already a font of the best information around so I thank you all in advance the help :)

This was me on new years eve when I finally handed over the cash and then half an hour later I had to get the train back to work offshore :(

The van I a peach so theres no major work involved (which is nice) A:

Ferry all booked up now for the grand road trip to Norway and the Arctic. North shields to Amsterdam. Quick dash through Holland, Germany & Denmark and over on the Ferry from Hirtshals to Kristiansand. I can't wait now! The service is all done now so new filters and fluids all round. Wish me luck T:

Cheers chaps T:

This was me having fun trying to put the exhaust back together. You can't beat a good bush fix. One tin of baked beans (minus the beans) with both ends chopped off, cut in half then rolled back up like a poster the slotted into the broken bits. Then another tin with some jubilee clips I pinched off the newly fitted eberspacher to go over. I put the tin foil over to stop it blowing too much till we got hold of some exhaust putty at the next petrol station. It came off a couple of times but it went back on and got me another 1000 miles :ILU:

We've now got it welded back together along with another gaping hole on the back box so hopefully that will get me home in a couple of weeks. For now I've got to go back offshore for another 2 weeks. My parole is up :(
