This was the back bumper before I tried taking it off. I thought the removal would be as easy as the front (I was wrong)! They look proper faded here.

The sun buggered off by the time I was putting it all back together!

I had to leave the bumper on because I couldn't get to these two buggers under the bottom door catch. How are you supposed to get to these

Anyway I ended up having to take the lights out to get the bumper back on properly as the two tabs wouldn't go back on without being lifted up.

And these two little tabs too

I'll get to see which bits I've missed in the morning.

So, you used a heat gun on the bumpers to effectively 'melt' them looking new again? Great idea! Mine need to be dipped in molten volcanic lava to look new again unfortunately...

I'm keen to get some links for the armrest brackets you bought...?

Would be awesome if you could link out to things from now on, I'm starting from scratch and your build is what I'm after!

Aye a link would be too easy though. Just have a scan on eBay for t4 armrest repair kits and there's are few places that do them. Only a few too.

The heat gun is a trick ive learned off here. There's a few that have done it now to great effect. If you melt it then you've done it wrong I: just waft it over and you can see it change colour. I've heard its a mould that creeps in over time in most cases but I'm not sure how true that is. Give it a go though. It's bound to make a difference T:

Love the van and the thread and now I'm itching to go to Norway, shame there aren't direct ferries. Might have to invest in a heater before heading that far north!
If your new window isn't sitting flush would it be worth taking it back, don't want it leaking, or is it just the design?

Cheers T: I questioned why it was like that and he was adamant it's correct for that window. It looks ok but it's niggling me a bit. It's proper sealed ok and doesn't leak. I need to get a better photo and put a post out.

There is a direct freight ferry to Norway and Sweden from Immingham with DFDS but it only runs twice a week. It's worth a look into but it's not a party boat.

Next job (along with all the rest) is the purple dials. Just got hold of the dials and surround. Just need the loom now. My mates just done his and I didn't realise how simple I could be (famous last words). Just itching to get back home and fiddle:D. I'm pondering fitting the ISRI seats off my old T25. After a good trim of course. They off old farts at the moment:*

It's oozing with style. Bog standard style  it's back to basics again before I try and fit this new bed. Once that's in then it's new furniture before I become a dad  I've got all the bits together to join the 2.4 turbo club. I like the rock solid N/A reliability but hills suck! (If only I could fit my Volvo D5)
