Hi all !!!!!!!

I now have in my garage the 2.0 gti engine all ready to be stripped and rebuilt and chucked into my 92 velle. Question is my existing engine is a 2.0 petrol 5 speed box, will my box mate up with the gti engine as the gearbox on that has something wrong with it (selectors or something ???

The other thing is i know its prob not the place to ask but does anyone know anywhere i can get a full rebuild kit cheap for the gti (headbolts, gaskits etc ????) Anyone done a mk3 gti conversion in there van and have any tips and advice on any fiddly bits ???

Yes it will. You will need to use the 'velle box, unless you want to mess around with custom mounts and driveshafts.

Pretty damn sure that it will bolt on, my 1.8 20VT bolted straight onto my original 2.0 litre gearbox.
