i would steer well clear of engine oil additives:eek:

a lot of people believe what they read on the side of the tin but if these "magic" formulas are so great, why don't shell and bp endorse them?

the gloopy ones can block up small oil passages and restrict oil flow.

All you need are regular oil and filter changes, say every 6k if your fussy and your engine will go for ever!

just my opinion but i wouldn't. T:

Thanks for the replies.
Yeah, im unsure whether to put some in my abl:confused:
Changed oil 2000miles ago(vw oil)
Sounds tapperty for 10 secs after first start of the day.
I was thinking it may stop this and protect the engine.
I put slick50 in my Vr6 years ago and spanked that motor for over 40,000miles without problems(always warmed motor first).
Should i,shound'nt i?.
Somebody must of put this stuff in their T4?

if using engine additives the only ones we will use is from a compant called FORTE, their stuff puts the others to shame and most times are cheaper, smoke treatment for diesels from them is a mustT:T:
