Due to circumstances I won't go into now someone had a key cut to try and open and start my T4 so now my original key will only turn over the engine briefly before it cuts out. I therefore believe that I need someone to cut and code a replacement key. Is this correct and if so does anyone know anyone who can do this in the Sedgemoor area of Somerset?

The key needs the transponder chip inside it's case to deactivate the engine immobiliser, yes. Have you lost the key that had this in then? The engine would keep running if the transponder was there in original key.

I think specialists can sort you out even without a transponder to copy. Sosautolocks.co.uk. Mobile service
