I am after a replacement ECU to take my van back to a standard map.

I have seen many on ebay but am confused as to which one i need.
Will it be a straight plug in and go jobbie?

The van is a 1999 2.5tdi ex AA

I have one from an 88 b.h.p 25 tdi blue i.
Not sure if these are coded to the keys????/
if you can get a part number from yours you should be able to cross reference with someone on here.

I maybe wrong, but isn't the key coded to work with your ecu? You might be better off trying to have a standard map flashed back onto your ecu, a local tuner or dealers might be able to help?
