Been lurking around here for a while so thought it was about time I introduced myself.

I have been into VW's since my second car which was a MK1 Jetta GLS back when I was 19. Since then I have had a variety of MKII Jetta's, GTI's, Scirocco's etc and then moved onto Audi's including a 450bhp S4.

We have two young children and I am now looking for a T4 for weekend breaks and the odd festival. I have got my heart set on a T4 multivan due to the factory fitted bed and the 7 seats as this would allow me to transport the kids safely. They do seem hard to come by so I may need to compromise so would like advice from any members who have a young family and have a converted transporter. Are aftermarket rock n roll beds safe if fitted with 3 point belts?

What sort of costs would I be looking at to kit these vans out with a quality rock n roll bed? Also are there any recommended companies to use around Somerset / Devon?

Hi there the guys at dubstar had a nice black one with low mileage and good spec. they are based in taunton not sure on prices depends what you can do yourself, we have a 2003 model kitted out but giving us a near full size rnr bed with oven hob fridge etc....

Heres another option for you.

There are a few of us that have fitted the T5 Caravelle seats in our T4's. This gives you options of 4 to 8 seats depending on set up. I have only gone for the rear triple seat that also folds into a bed but a full 5 seat set with rails etc. would set you back up to 2k. Sounds alot but when put against a tested rib r'n'r bed or similar at 3k, makes a good option. That and all seats have 3 point belts.
