Hi,
First time on site and first post, so bear with me if I haven't got the hang of this yet!
I've just got a 08 plate LWB T5 2.5l diesel, 130HP and very pleased with it! :). Looking to convert to day van/ camper although not sure what the difference is. But one thing at a time. I guess the first thing is to sound proof and insulate it. There seems a massive range in cost from specialist suppliers to B&Q. I'm trying to keep the cost down, but do you get what you pay for? Is there that much difference in sound / heat insulation between the two?
Any help / guidance gratefully received!
.. Best,
Steve

hi,i used flashband bought from flee bay probably one of the cheapest ways to sound proof,i used a heat gun to soften it and it makes it really sticky. i think most of the different sound proofing materials are probably very simular, flashband is actually used instead of lead in the building trade

Hi Steve,
Another complete newbie here - I'm at the same stage and had a look at some of the threads and a lot of posts I have seen is quiet negative towards flashband as it cam smell - especially if it gets hot. I decided to take the safer option (although more expensive) and have purchased silent coat dampening sheets. I got them of ebay next day delievery. But like I said this is my first ever van.
