Ah thanks for the warm welcome !T:
Really looking forward to getting a lot more involved with the T5 van scene been a fan for many years love to see the amazin work that goes into them and the variations are out of this world .

Im fairly well known in the Custom car. street rod scene since a kid and have built cars from scratch ( mechanical back ground in my blood) family all car /van nutts its all we live for lol!
Ive had a few cars featured in mags over the years and pride myself of an as im told () approach to perfection. lol.

Thanks again hope to get to no more of you in the future and try to help were i can .

Dave n Gill T:

Ps hopefully this year looking to hold an inpromt weekend at our place chill out relax and get to no some fellow van nutts .

We are approax 2 miles from Portreath beach . ( have room for about 10 vans maybe more nice orchard setting )

Will keep you informed what T5 we end up buying .

T:Thanks again for kind words been surfin (excuse the pun) the site since joining so much to read etc exellent site imo.
Well i have found a t5 conversion specialist locally go past most days tucked away never realised it was there, spent a few hours there yesteray has a selection of 12 t5s forsale all very clean
On same site they have a pro trimmer , painter , early bus classic vw restoration buisness, t4 specialist its awsome all you would ever need on one site. all seperate unconected buisness,s

I have seen the conversions in there build stage and the lads are from my home town of stoke so felt really comfortable with them brew on soon as i landed really informative loads of choice with materials finish etc . no two the same as thats what i want to have a different / or design my own interior.T:

Could i ask i have seen a 2009 t5 panel van he has Raven blue , 130 , 2.5 6 speed manual Glazed tailgate rear wash wipe tinted, only 1 owner very low miles only 16k from new straight as a dye , very clean interior , has bench seat tilt front wanted two seperate ones but can easily be changed with updated /aftermarket seats, lecy windows central locking, cd, well speced,17" alloys roof rack kit etc he wants £14,695 + the dreaded vat it upsets me we private customers are charged it but cant claim it back so hikes price up around the 18k mark. just for the van .?

My question is what tax bracket will this fall in ? the higher rate 400 possibly?

Needs bumper change colour coded etc side windows fitting remo roof ( all personal choice for camper conversion?) but do you think its a viable price or should i look for another just need a push if you no what i mean lot of money and got to fit coilies .20" wheels , and camper interior on top .

Taking mrs this afternoon have a look see what she thinks , as arranged going to vanworx tomoz but if i can choose one from here and believe they are cheaper than what dave at vanworx is offering it is local and easier on the wallett and me back lol!

If not then have trip to portland in Dorset tomoz.

Sorry for going on would appreciate any comments for or against value your opinions greatly.

Dave .

Well folks , went back tonight took the boss lol! spent a good few hours been shown around three conversions Matt has in at the moment and both Gill and i are well impressed with what we have been shown .

The choice of materials and colours are endless with any combination possible so inivative with his designs and they all complement the fact everything is so well thought out and works!

Stages of build from roof removal and trimmed to carcases, wiring and a finished t5 , so much so we are back again mext wednesday to meet up design and pick exactly what we want .

The t5 lwb is an option and our names on it till wednesday but we are undecided as to what to choose lwb or swb ?
Pros for long more room but £1k dearer on conversion , harder to park ?
Swb if im honest i like the dimensions of just got to come to a compramise with gill lol!:*

He has a ( metallic pearl black ) swb barn door very high spec, full leather captains seats, electric pack, comfort pack, 20k T5.1 that hes offered coming in monday next week for very good price so going look at that too, either way i think we both agree hes the company for us and im a real picky bloke ! (believe me im murder) .

Any way i keep looking on here in ore of the insperation you folks give me and cant wait to own our own T5 again , just shame hes so busy ( testement to the quality he builds) that it will be April before he can fit us in take app 4 weeks to build.
Just feel bit better when the van itself is bought and ours , then sit back and wait will kill me ?:*

Thanks Dave and Gill. T:

Ok , quick update folks .
Decided to waite and have kept looking at our options having looked on the net we have found other supplyers and conversion specialists that we feel offer more bang for our buck! :D

I have spoken in depth to a company we are traveling over to mid devon this sunday who sound brilliant and make the style of van we are looking for , so really looking forward to that make a day of it . A:
Have seen quite a few hes built for people even gave me option of speaking to past customers to here what they thought !

Decided on swb , 130bhp , 6 speed hopefully 2008/9 would love dsg but no they are harder and more expensive to buy .
Going to have a chat and see what he comes up with does look promising i must say and value for money , gave us a guide price and it came in well under other conversion specialists with the dreaded [email protected]% now thats a killer and rakes up the price on a £20k/£30k plus van .

Full pop top , camper conversion, 20" alloys , coilovers, caravelle style front , splitter, rear roof spoiler, tinted glass, recaros, want diamond pleate ! (looks nice imo) seen one hes done with kit fitted i liked ? rear wash /wipe/ demist etc. tow bar.
Loads of interior choice colours and materials designs etc.

He said send him my van with my wish list lol! just hope we can afford it?:*

Any way babbled on again thanks for all the insperation you folks give me everytime i look at your awsome rides , keep you informed after weekend with what i hope will be a cracking day.

All the best Dave n Gill. T:
