Hello. I just bought a front passenger seat with the seat base from a newer t4 (2002 model I think) and I want to change it with my old seat (96 t4 model). The problem is that the base for the newer seat base was fastened with nuts in the front on to studs sticking up, and hexagonal bolt screws in the back. The base on the older seats that I'm replacing was fastened with mushroom bolts in the front and hexagonal bolt screws in the back.
I didn't get the double studded bolts with the seats, but they will be sent to me soon.

My question is: Can I simply swap the mushroom bolts now fitted on the floor with the double studded bolts from the newer seat and then mount the new seats onto them?

Thanks

Update: the new seat base was mounted with four double studded bolts and nuts not just the front two as I said in the original post.
