I had my battery disconnected for a while as I wired up my towbar.

2002 Blue I 'Velle 2.5TDi.

Now when I try to start, all dash lights come on including heater plug.
All dash lights go out except charging light and glow plug light. When glow plug light goes out I turn key to crank position but nothing happens.

Then 15 seconds after the glow plug light goes out it starts to flash.

Tried locking and unlocking vehicle, but still no cranking.

Big fuses under bonnet seem O.K. Starter connections seem O.K. and all dry.

if imm,it would still start then stop after 2 seconds.sounds like bad battery connection to me.

yea not the immob or it would turn over and start for like 0.5 secs, check your batt/earths?new towbar wiring

Do you have an aftermarket alarm immobiliser?

Even one you dont use?

Mine does this if I try to start without turning the immobiliser off

I usually check starting/earthing problems by getting a jump lead on the NEGATIVE terminal of the battery and the other end of the jump lead on a GOOD earthing point on the engine. i.e. an engine lifting hook/bracket. T:

I would also double check the new wiring or area where the fitter has been working, may have been disturbed sommat
