how do. i brought a bluetooth odb reader and use it off my samsung with the torque app. it works fine for the missus car. its a w plate Merc ML270. i try it on my van and it pairs up but wont connect to the ecu. any one have any ideas why this is? stupid question here, but is the ecu able to communicate?

that is exactly what i have! i was getting at this with the stupid question !
It will come in useful when you tdi it bud T:T:T:

FWIW mine doesn't seem to read the codes but its useful to have on board when by guages throw a wobbly or i want to look flash :ILU:

I have one for my Astra and even with the latest Torque software it doesn't pick up any of the 6 error codes that can be seen by my Laptop connected Opcom (Vauxhall version of Vagcom)

They work best on OBDII Canbus connected vehicles (post 2006) but not so good on the older EOBD systems (pre 2006)

Im getting my t4 working again for work use as my astra blew up last week. I put to much oil in it
