i had oil in my radiator , so i took the head off and checked the headgasket but doent look like it was coming from the gasket, there might be a crack in the head , is there any where else on a 2.5 petrol T4 1995 transporter where the oil could get into the coolent.

try bypassing the coolant pipes onto the 'oilcooler' (lives between the oilfilter & the oilfilter housing) - its a coolant / oil heat-exchanger, made from aluminium & can 'leak' oil (under higher pressuer than the coolant system) into the coolant.....

these were a favourite 20+ years ago that made people think their HG had failed.....

+1 on that ^^^ - I had Scirocco that did it, I thought it was the HG and therefore expensive, turned out to be £20 and 30 minutes.
