ran through large puddle earlier today and since then me oil light keeps flashing but vehicle running ok oh and my rev counter suddenly started working, then oil light stops flashing and rev counter stops working and oil light flashes again

the thin red wire on your alternater is loose or making a bad contact, prob the water splash . just clean the contact and push the wire back on---then---so it won't do it again, put a big dollup of silicone all over the terminal---worked on mine.

2 sockets on alternator, only 1 plug on bottom 1, black wire. cleaned that 1 still got oil light on. could it be the switch above the oil filter?
